Echo

Echo

A Poem by ...

The dusk of thoughts, felt aloof

Where once a spectrum of light

From your presence held home,

In the dark shimmer, minute by

Minute where the sun settled down,

And the trees swayed.

I silently kept my faith,

I loved my sky of

Emerald hue, where clouds in little light passed by

And the sea sang songs, with foam of wisdom

Whooshing against the quay...

Your voice, echoed a thousand times

Where a hundred times you'd say

You are winged my love, follow me and you

Will see, where I just hide at day

Hi Andrew :) I'm glad you liked it and happy holidays, dear poet :)

manno you have a remarkable talent for pairing unlikely words that paint a canvas of emotions, by colour and movement, that is thrilling, unique and oh-so-satisfying. and always always i feel a sense muted risk, hopes of lasting through the night if only for the sake of more on the morrow.

wanted to quote back to you a fave passage, but not possible ~~ for one line leads into the next even more complex, so suffice it to say --- this is an intense fave.

Hi J :) I'm really glad you liked this, dear poet. Want to wish you a happy holiday...blessings!
i find this sad...where love hides in day...there is that small light that still shines at night like a star. but this sounds so much like a love that was such a comfort and support, being gone now...

beautifully written.

Thank you for your insightful review, Jacob, and Merry Christmas :)
I love how you laid out the lines.
The read rises and falls, then swirls and foams like the ocean or a flock or birds or even hearing schooling...
Wow. Such a living rhythm here!
As a friend, I smile to see you flying...
I'm happier having read this.
Thank you for sharing.
