Echo

Echo

A Poem by ...

The dusk of thoughts, felt aloof

Where once a spectrum of light

From your presence held home,

In the dark shimmer, minute by

Minute where the sun settled down,

And the trees swayed.

I silently kept my faith,

I loved my sky of

Emerald hue, where clouds in little light passed by

And the sea sang songs, with foam of wisdom

Whooshing against the quay...

Your voice, echoed a thousand times

Where a hundred times you'd say

You are winged my love, follow me and you

Will see, where I just hide at day

Beutifully worded. This has a certain allure to it that just draws me in.

Thank you so much :)
I agree with CD, there is so much shimmering in the lacunae between words in this wonderful poem. The images are like memories, haunting.

Hello Softly :) Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a warm review
This is amazing in it's imagery. I love the last three lines, I find myself going over them every time I look back up to the screen. I think there is something hidden there in the middle that I can't grasp though. A small dark edge maybe? Anyway, good write. CD

Hi Ken :) Thank you very much, dear poet
Those echoes tend to be simultaneously comforting and tormenting. When our voices come back to us, we do not always get it back in the same way it was sent - sometimes we are blessed with interest, but mostly, not.

Inspired poetry!

Thank you, Terry. Good to see you by :)
Lynn. The shimmer of nature's echo of light, in the above written word is as beautiful as a rising full moon.
