Serenity

Serenity

A Poem by ...

And when I saw, there was no tide,

but the tranquility of my lake,

I realized, there is no need,

for nothing there is need

All I have, is all in me,

The silence tells enough,

but you are there

and so am I,

thus quietly we speak...

Thank you smitty :)
There are times in life when words aren't necessary. It's more the deep, deep feeling that above anything and everything someone's there, accepting flaws, sharing both the complex and simple. And, your togetherness is wrapped in a beautiful peace. You write so beautifully, lynn; methinks each and every one of your reviewer's spirit fly!

Often the beauty and serenity of nature is enough that talking aloud is unneccesary when just being together says it all. Beautiful Lynn, the solitude of your poem is soft on the eyes and the mind.

What a lovely thing to say...thank you, dear poet :)
I used to think, what a shame, there are two people sitting but not saying anything, that I wanted the closeness and feel of touch, the communication (verbal mostly), the sharing... but there is also something nice, sweet, in the feeling of closeness that can be expressed in silent presence... the knowing that words do not always express the calmness or excitement of a love shared... enjoyed your poem Lynn.

Thank you Redzone. Made me smile, glad you liked it :)
I love the tranquillity you've built into this Lynn. The quiet strength found in the quiet of alone, is a priceless gift. It gives us the freedom to share or not as we will.

This is almost metaphysical in nature. Serenity calms the soul. Nicely done.
