When The Earth Is Gone

When The Earth Is Gone

A Poem by ...

And I know, I will see you that day;

when the earth is gone-and away,

and our souls have survived, as

light beams, we become galaxy beetles

weightless, and enlightened like neon.

There is where my ephemeral kiss will

touch the softness of your lips, faster

than light-so you will taste your

deep, strong, love ever so missed, and

there you will follow me through

the blackened holes, we ablaze.

You are the spirit I always longed for

in your (invisibility)

Thank you so much :)
Not sure I want to become a "galaxy beetle". HA. :)
Yet there is a beyond, and we have the opportunity to be there or not.
How wonderful to think of growing and growing in our ability to comprehend the mysteries of the Cosmos...
I think this is very relatable and rather universally appealing.

Thank you for stopping by :)
This is a beauiful promise! something that transcends all knowns and goes on for eternity. It's a promise of a calm sea. The shadow of a tree. Quiet and comforting.

Thank you so much, Abhra. I am pleased you liked it :)
You've caught the love song breathed throughout the universe. Deep currents here. This piece doesn't need explanations, it just is. Can't create better than that.

lynn, This is fabulous, it has an (to borrow one of your words of verse) ephemeral feel to it, a kind of trippy (in a good way) dip into fantasy embodied in a tale of the earth's supposed fate. You really did a good job finding the right words to illuminate your idea, just totally on point. Very nicely done! take care...dan

thank you, my dear
ah, that "ephemeral kiss" soon to be gone physically, but the the thought of it, the feel of it will linger....as spirits shoot through galaxies and eternities, still ablaze with love...filling those black holes with fiery sentiment.

-- wow... this is surreal and intense and infinitely poetic verse, lady lynn... -- i could feel the universe of your words unravelling as i read each line... -- you experienced a rare kind of love and then you expressed it really beautifully... -- amazing stuff...
