Serial, Surreal...Cereal

Serial, Surreal...Cereal

A Poem by ...

Trix are for kids
I prefer my fruit to have plenty of juice
Sugar Smacks
give me a fast rush and leave me hungry for more "food"
Frosted Flakes
looks good, but I'm gonna' leave that one alone
But, Oatmeal..that's wholesome, real, and sticks to my ribs!
I'm in to nutrition, you see

Thank you for your review, Frank :)
A very pleasant & refreshing poetry you've brought to your loyal readers for sure. I've even had a very great time with such a "Vital flakes of poetry". Liked the choice of words. One of my fav. lines's given below:

"leave me hungry for more "food"... "

It's saying much outta its words. You seem to have "food" -- the food to have your body healthy & the blood running well though very linen veins of yous. Good food means good life and good life implies.. better health. So in short, to have some charm on face & the smiles right 'pon furrowed lips, "Serial.. Surreal.. Cereal" is must to have especially in breakfast. What a beautiful poetry it is. It sounds like a t.v ad "Serial Surreal .. Cereal. To make your kids healthy and have your body in shape, always use.. Serial ..Surreal.. Cereal -- the zone of happiness & a way of happiest family. Ting. Tong. Lol Very evocative you're. Wonderful job, as always for sure.

Thank you, Lydi
A sugar rush comes quick, leaves just as fast.
False sense of gratification.
There's something to be said for oatmeal.
It's safe.

Laughing...wouldn't eat on of them for breakfast either, Jacob
My dad's two favorite foods in the whole world were baked sweet potatoes and oats. (Not eaten at the same time.) He lived to be ninety-one. When I was a kid, I remember how sugary cereals were always sponsors for the kiddy shows. Boy, did they work, too. Soon afterwards, I'd have me a big bowl of sugar frosted something or other.

Hi Sam, Thanks for stopping by :)))
the empty-caloried snacks that have many kids addicted to those sugar highs... this is such an entertaining write that tells us a lot about its author...i'll be sure to keep oatmeal and fruit with real juice on hand in case you visit :)
