Oh my goodness....I loved it....gentle tender and soft....this poetry floats to one's heart.

There is such a tenderness in your voice... the soft wings of butterflies... sighs of music in the air. Sitting here in such peace... perfect peace in your words. How I can sit in my garden watching butterflies for hours. :)

Wonderful to have you by, Craig :) Yes I love their soft beauty
Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue is a longtime favorite of mine. I love its energy and many personalities that all seem so busy. A perfect comparison for those flittering little beauties.

Thank you so much, Jan :))))
Simple and beautiful.

Butterflies absolutely do dance on air, don't they?

They are so elusive, yet such a powerful reminder of nature's wonder.

you are very welcome!
Loved the analogies of your insights. Dancing in silence & beating "rhapsody" in blue? What a thought provoking imagery you've painted the words with. Like always, I still do find a melody of peace in your poetry. Wondrous art, it is!

I do too wonder why they're mute sometimes.. and you've penned a possible answer so well. The magic of their beauty behind their fluttering wings evoking the blues. Lovely!

Gershwin playing a piano of silence...a rhapsody of soft wings beating in sorrow.

the butterfly goes back into its cocoon.
