Samples of Humanity

Samples of Humanity

A Poem by ...
"

All kinds of people

"
Some are grass that walked upon
will rise once more.
Some are lakes with changing colors
and disturbing reflections...
others, lumps of coal.
There are deeply rooted trees
cleansed by breezes.
Tiny wildflowers trampled by cattle.
There are, Hyenas and hurricanes...
and those slow, steady, rivers,
carving canyons out of rock.
Samples of humanity,
that nature speaks of us.

yes, all kinds, indeed... it reminds of of a Miranda Lambert song called "All Kinds of Kinds" and you are so right in your observations... I am a tree dancing in this vignette, I hope :) well-done, Lynn!

:) you certainly are a deeply rooted tree, my friend

as long as someone lets the sun in and waters me from time to time i should be okay :)
I'd like to think I'm a redwood tree with deep roots and a big shade, but more likely, I'm a turnip that grows in the ditch alongside county road 43. (Heh-heh) Seriously, though, this is a great analogy.
