Tired

Tired

A Poem by ...

I'm tired.
The kind of tired that sleep doesn't relieve.
The kind that makes things I loved before you
loose their flavor.
I try to catch a breeze, reach,
suck in some fun, some sun,
wish upon a star...
hope...
It's stale.
It's all stale.
I don't have a reason anymore.
Days are so mechanical
nights are sleepless nightmares
I should have never loved you.
Should have kept my space.
Should have never let you touch me!
What the hell was the point?
I cared for what?
You made me care for what?
 This?
To rip and tare me more?
To make me feel?
congratulations! I feel.
I'm more lonely now than before
What i am, is, all that love has accomplished...
Pain!
 All the rest is camouflage.

"I cared for what?... You made me care for what... " These're true feelings of heart you've come up with simply & painful words. Yes, love makes people thinking ov'r such thoughts deeply on nights.. on days... even in their whole lives to know the reason, why they loved or beloved! But they ain't find that's not even existed. Liked the imagery. Well done!

Thank you for this lesson today...you have pulled me back here so I can once again regain the strength that I had forgotten I saw in you and in myself...Breathe beautiful creature...soar in the strength or courage and life...for it lay in that pool before you and in your own gift of sacrificial love you bestow!

That really reads like letting it all out, a literary explosion of emotions, maybe also healing through words. I like the simple rawness although not too much about it, the candidness in this piece, it leaves the reader with a notion of authenticity. I think to some point, we might have all felt like this before, at least your lines are relatable to me.

You hit a rough spot in your life but there are a thousand of fish in the seas when all else fails I go fishing.

haha Thank you, smitty
When we take the walls down it can be painful. We cannot choose to only let in light. When we are open we must accept all things. Better to know ahead of time I guess. Still. I choose love even when it hurts.
Great lament.

Thank you, SF (((( you)))) Time can't decide if it wants to be my friend or my foe...smirk
Beautiful and heartfelt.

This poem reflects so many emotions after a heartbreak: anger, sadness, and regret, which you have seamlessly woven together.

This is an emotional, flowing free verse which slips off the page like velvet. A subject which sadly I relate to and which you have expressed so well.

Your words are strong and present so much feeling. The pain, the sorrow all felt here. Love is a word that has many faces.

I found when young and starting out, this type of thing happened , as we grow, we look for different things in the opposite sex, It is no longer looks, but how they treat you etc. Valentine

Aloha,

What a sad expression of a love that never was. Simply an exercise in futility for one.

When it's not true love, all you're left with are the ugly step-siblings of disenchantment and frustration...

... not fun at all.
