I believe Dreams are the only thing that is real.
Everything else must shift and change with the current flow.
Dreams are the only constant. Whatever you think will be.

The only time dreams don't come to life is when one doesn't hold onto the dreams.

...written while awake, when dreams have disappeared... the reality is that dreams are nothing more than metaphorical translations of emotional arousal that are not acted upon during wake times so the brain plays them out during REM sleep, allowing for the quelling of those emotions... well, that's what Joe Griffin says about it but what does he know? I believe they come from late night snacking and fatigue... either way, I've taken up way too much space rambling... your short piece has certainly stimulated the noggin!

it's how i roll, Lynn... sometime slowly, though :)
alternative fact- dreams are memories of the most important pasts your soul has lived. They are mental notes carried through generations waiting for you to remember the potential of your self.

Short and to the point.
Dreams can be realized if you put enough effort to make them so.

I don't know. I believe dreams are directions for life. The imagination and dreams keep us young and hopeful. When dreams are gone and imagination is hidden. What is left. The happiest people keep dreaming and hoping till their last breath. The writer Carlos Castaneda taught me. We can set-up dreams and sometime we can make the dream come true. A very good one line story. Made me think this afternoon.

Sighing... so hoping you'll find a way to stay asleep while waking then... to somehow know the depth of dreams as you walk the earth...

Yes, you're absolutely right. Dreams / the visions are only seemed to be come true only when the eyes are shut...
Because, in reality... dreams has no value for anything. People betray with your dreams. They crush you dreams down under their feet by means of laughing at 'em. So, yes, most of the time, it's seemed that the dreams are only true or real as long as they are asleep. What a beautiful imagery you've come up with. One-line story write's such a big success to you! Liked it.

lynn, So the expression 'a dream come true' is simply hyperbole, or is it? Lots of shifty writers have made lots of $$$ writing about interpreting dreams, which real scientists consider junk science. I HAVE found, though, that a bad dream can linger after waking and, if allowed to, can influence one's day. It's happened to me, but then I'm half-baked. take care...dan

I would have to agree!
Of course there's daydreaming but I think the brain patterns are similar.

then let's just not wake up---stay in the reality that is either a dream or a nightmare...

but those dreams we have when we wake? so hard to reach.
