A Poem by Traxler

A farmhand in the sun rolls up his daily sleeve
A fisherman floats and ventures to the daily sea
The men have in common, the same air to breathe
Though one filled with salts the other filled with weeds

A scientist in the lab, thrives off what he learns
While the homeless man thrives off of the little that he earns
It is answers and understanding for which they both yearn
Underneath the same sky, their same sun still burns

It is on the same rock that we all do exist
And often the same girl another man has kissed
We share the same stars upon which we have wished
And the waters of the sea was once our front door's mist

Are we really all different, or one in the same
We see similar things, but all have different brains
Is it from the same place, that you and I came
If it was known for sure, there would be no one here to blame

Great rhyme scheme as well as general writing. Beautiful poem, and the last stanza really touches me and makes me wonder. I also love the image of the last line of the 3rd stanza. Great job.
