A Poem by Cameron
"

Just the ramblings of a tired mind.

"

Once again, five in the morning has shown its face,

and I am sitting, half-asleep,

watching half-formed thoughts drift away

like a best friend's tail lights on a foggy night.

So many questions that don't seem to have answers.

So many dreams that have been reshaped,

to the point where the original form is lost completely.

I just want to sleep.

I just want things to be okay again,

but it seems the world has other plans for my tired brain.

So many words that have no intrinsic meaning.

Trapped in this shell that has ceased to function as it should,

limping along towards a finish line that is undefined.

I would simply cease to be,

but I care too much for those around me,

and I am too curious as to the location of the finish line.

Thus, onward it is.
