My Blue Balloon

My Blue Balloon

A Poem by Cameron
"

One of my favourite songs I've ever written. I always debated going back to add more, but it is perfectly succinct.

"
I'm a balloon with no string,
and I'll float away if you blink for too long
I am a speck of blue on your horizon
I drift along kissing rooftops and grazing by

I'm a balloon with no string,
and I fear your pinprick for fear I'll spring a leak
I am a plastic globe above your small head
I carry on until the wind just sets me down

When I explode,
I will fall to pieces on this asphalt
And all my air will drift into the atmosphere,
and there, I will disappear.
