A Poem by Cameron
"

An old song from an old notebook. A dead memory.

"
These graves are filled with men who thought that they were necessary.
I'll never make the same mistake within my mind.
These clouds have darkened, but one day, they all will clear,
and the sunlight will make us go blind.
I'm just one man, and I never said that I was perfect :
one more reason to apologize.
One day I'll sleep, and I'll close these weary eyes ;
every song is fed up just to match my state of mind.

Take me home (if you're lonely.)
I will go if I'm boring you,
but everything will turn out fine.

Dear, you're so far away : I feel it every moment.
It's crying agony within my every cell
The shades are drawn, and the lights are out for good.
This town is falling fast asleep so quickly.
These drugs will keep them stable 'til they all burn out,
and they'll wonder where they took a wrong turn.
All my tired smiles are the same as one big hug
from the bottom of my ever-weary mind.

Chorus

Cameron
It's an old song, and my writing got much better as I went along. Just a memory.
