Words not hidden

simply not read

written by a girl

long since dead.

 

she wrote untill

she could write no longer

then switched hands

and continued onward.

 

her poems were mostly

about death and suicide

about her world

and the feelings deep inside.

 

When she needed you most

you were nowhere to be found

could this be why

the world watched her drowned?

 

Times were hard

but you'd never have known

the feelings this girl's heart

called it's own.

 

the words told the story

that no one ever knew

even those closest to her

never had a clue.

 

never asked for help

she thought she was fine

all the pain was just

inspiration for poetry lines.

 

she needed you

and she even dared to ask

for help from you

she asked at last.

 

She gave you

every clue

every word in her poetry

held the truth.

 

Read the words now.

Can't you see?

You could've saved her.

After a half hour of looking through poetry finally one that rhymes... And it's good!

Although it is always a shame to read these... So many people who feel like their alone in life, and all they have to do is read somoenes elses work to know they are one of so many.

Don't you wish all of the poetry writers would just get together, be there for each other?

It is very poetic and to the point. There is a certain air around the piece that makes you read it twice. It makes you think about the people around you and how you treat others. It was very enjoying to read though it was a little sad but in the end you are content.

I liked it. Sometimes, even when you don't feel those things, to write great poetry, you have to make yourself feel what you need to in order to write said poetry.

This is a great poem. I agree that poetry comes from the heart and that some of these poems don't come from "our" heart but simply our muses telling us to write it. This is simply amazing, it has a great flow! Amazing job!!!
