Cut From the VioletA Poem by trapperhoneyintrospectionCut From the Violet
I am cut from the violet small and soft, frail and pastel standing alone in a field of weeds subject to the weathering elements yet am untouched
I am cut from the violet the storms pound around me yet I resist the winds tear at me yet I am unbending
I am cut from the violet immune to time watching the stars fade challenging the conquering darkness I stand alone in my efforts
I am cut from the violet I am quiet and easily subside I rise above the evil and watch destruction I am untouched
I am cut from the violet I hide my rage and show understanding my silence is dangerous and devious I am quick, yet hindered disguised in innocence
I am cut from the violet I am alone in my way
