Drink Me, Fill Me

Drink Me, Fill Me

A Poem by transentience

Screaming at myself again
New age in a crawl
Shadows creeping in my head
Mind--the victim
Subverted thought

Excuse my laughter
Mrs. Jack o' lantern
As you carve into my skull
Your happily ever
After true love daggered
And your smile was captured
In memories and mirrors
And cravings that pretend
To be true
Love carved out your heart

Fast food service served so slow
Feed the ego, let it go
Through the needle, open sore
Dilute the pus
A little more
For you, my w***e

Vacuum in my ears again
Drown the noise
A conscience whines
Reflections of my insecure
Found in you, I realize

You can say that I am crazy
But don’t mistake me for a Bible or a gun
My machine still runs on unleaded, since '87
So drink me in and fill me up

disturbing write ..dark undertones of a poisoned relationship ..left unattended to can and sadly does end in violence ... this is a relationship that is desperate for help ...and/or an ending ... these kinds of emotive poems push me to read on until i find some sunshine before i sign off ..;)..powerful depiction ..very real setting ... strongly emotive

Tight analysis of the darks inside and communicating them to oneself and others. I cannot say I like this because it is not that kind of poem but I am amazed by it.
