Spit

Spit

A Poem by transentience

With every stumble I let fall
I masticate what's left;
Unswallowed
A bloody grin
On dirty teeth
The savory taste
In saliva's craze
Spitting black into the face
Of defeat

The ground forgives
As gravity forgets
The circus wheel
Of tragedy
A broken game of sad roulette
Placing bets with fragile bones
Our fingers crawl
From out their tombs

What a f*****g disgrace
How reluctant we stride
The thrill of the pain
The joy in our cry
Emotions so real
Fulfilling our eyes
Like spectrometer weights
In the balance of life
Where nothingness feels
Reality lies
The cutting of ties
From glorified fakes...

I'll endure all the sorrow I can take
The dehumanization of love and hate
A plastic fate
Of candle wishes
Blown out in a single breath

a tough pill to swallow ..satire bites and challenges me in this one .. there is a youthful rebellion and search between the lines says i! really am hooked by your first verse ..we fall and ruminate things over and over sometimes ..but your protagonist gets up and spits in the face of it ..spunky says i! ;)
touching on various parts of our journeys ..i read a lot into this one ..lots of hard truth
