A monster greater than any beast
In the woods or of the sea
A terror that can only be imagined
Within the human mind lies more than a savage

In kindness, feigned
A ruthless tyrant reigns
Festering in silence
Calloused by the suffering
It creates...
As it feeds...
As it sleeps...
As it bides....
As it seethes in its lies as it hides...
It breathes

Apparitions hiss at the monstrous menace
Ghost candles flee from the creatures shadowy presence

A fear more frightful than impending death
A mask of flesh; the disguise of emptiness
Deceives your love through each heart beaten breath

A monster born of human
Preys on your emotion
To play in your fixation
It's game is your delusion
A mind-torn horror

Lure you in with a tease
Use you for all you've got
Expose your vulnerabilities
To manipulate your feelings
To break you down, lovingly

To leave you desperate as you cling

Oh why hath thou love forsaken thine trust?

How can we find the courage to move on?
Must we assume this monstrous facade; grow numb to our tears and take advantage of each other's flaws?
We may never who will be next to fall...
So quiet your worries now
