Fractured EyesA Poem by transentienceOveranalyzing fractions of a moment to discover true expression
Her pitch heightened to stress the cusps
of words that pierced, eyes rendered in hesitant shifts, each glance affixed, on the unfamiliar warm and safe discern of the eyes gazing into hers. A sigh of relief. Cradled by the near disbelief; someone was there. Holding back the tears when trust turns to fear Saves a broken heart when all its felt is the cold shatter Bury it in ocean sands Because it's easier to resuscitate Than to put its pieces back together Becoming aware of the things you do but do not speak of Cherishing how much more it all means Realizing no words were needed Memories will have no words That is, unless, you sing them © 2016 transentienceAuthor's Note
