Fractured Eyes

Fractured Eyes

A Poem by transentience
"

Overanalyzing fractions of a moment to discover true expression

"
Her pitch heightened to stress the cusps
of words that pierced, eyes rendered in hesitant shifts, each glance affixed, on the unfamiliar warm and safe discern of the eyes gazing into hers. A sigh of relief. Cradled by the near disbelief; someone was there.

Holding back the tears when trust turns to fear
Saves a broken heart when all its felt is the cold shatter
Bury it in ocean sands
Because it's easier to resuscitate
Than to put its pieces back together

Becoming aware of the things you do but do not speak of
Cherishing how much more it all means
Realizing no words were needed
Memories will have no words
That is, unless, you sing them

Context does not matter in this. Eyes can convey an understanding to how someone is feeling much more deeply than words can. Ironically, these words try to express that idea...

Hmm, a bit difficult to follow but worth the trouble.
;P

The second verse is quite good, it sort of speaks to my "Soul". The first verse is confusing at first glance but it eventually gets the point across and I was more readily able to grow fond of it after I read that a second time.
