Cartographic Symphony

Cartographic Symphony

A Poem by transentience

"
Cartographic fingers trace
subtlety's crevice
Sailing ships of flesh and bone
chart the pressure notes
Play your symphonic canvas
Conducting in waves
melting muscles--displaced--to
rest like sea shell molds
Humble hands that heal by chance
map your treasure curves
marking X's pure with O's

Absolutions of zero
seconds and degrees
suspended inbetween
our significance in ego, motionlessly
Emotionally; less than cold
more alone than hourglasses trapped
in time sands will never know

Space expands around me
Matter is abstracting
You had to let me go
Though your gravity
Warps deep into my fabric
As I fall into a starless sky

I'm calling to your timeless cries
I break in two's and multiply
My atoms reassemble eyes
I'm falling from a starless sky
Again...

Rusted Lungs Compressed
Ultraviolet Horizons
Breathe out Ghost Candles

...end to awake in meadows
of whispering leaves
Between every breeze are blues
casting dreams into
the greens of unfallen trees
Rising from the soil
with the scars that bare

The Witness of Light
Through shadow and
Rain, Earth, Fire
And Air

holy Toledo! just reading your note brings my need for another cup of coffee! I have to give credit to KW as it was her idea ..we tried to use the tenets of martial arts ... but not nearly as complex as the forms you are playing with ... i have no formal English nor writing education but i do have a BA in music so I definitely appreciate your use of it ... love Overture one ... romantic and enchanting personifications and sense of senryu comes through .. your Elementum surprises me as it goes the other way ..using "empty mind" instead of using a basic concrete element ... i don't quite get Embolium .. but thats OK ..perhaps his wings gave out ;) yea! from Embolium to the close for me, best read without thinking ..letting the colors especially take me to "N(one)" :) very clever bits of word play, intelligent structuring, kind of wanted more of the mapping metaphor ... really enjoyed that first verse ... you spent some time with this one no doubt and for me it is quite successful ..lots of meaty stuff ... and you gave me some new words :) enjoyed your use of the language!

Wow. This is quite the sight to behold. It does remind me of a symphony, and the story told was excellent. This was just so phenomenal
