REFLECTION

FEAR IS TRULY A DOWNFALL OF MANY, EVEN A REFLECTION.

She looked in the mirror and what she saw

Was a shell of her,

Of her entire being and existence,

Too broken to face the mirror,

Too broken to face the crowd.

 Knowing she can’t root for her own success.

The road to her dream seems blurred

Because of fear.

Fear is her only downfall,

A disease with no drug but

Something that needs to be shed away

When light is brought forth.

Fear stops us from living. It stifles us. Yes, we have to learn to overcome it, but that isn't easy. I was scared of my own shadow for a long while as a young person. So unsure of myself. I can look back now and see hiw destructive fear can be. You convey that emotion well here.

Who are we? the question of identity and even reality arises always. We are all we can be or somo sorto of diminished version of a dull state? a Shell maybe. If we are less then, which are the walls to be teared down? the obstacles we need to surppas? You in this beautiful little piece adress one of the most concerning, I believe, fear.
