The Conversation

The Conversation

A Poem by Zachary Craig

Questionable actions placed forth by demanding insecurities
From a simple gesture that remains unseen

Hopeful

Rejuvinated

For which you had made me

Nights are long,
Days lost, I have never seen
Washed away from seas
Shores cursing upon me

Tireless

Uneasy

Seemingly drowned with appaling authority

An evening filled with mirthful communications
Uplifted myself through the shadows that trail
Your kindness had meant plenty to me

Genuine

Elegant

Followed by feelings I felt had failed
