Consummate

Consummate

A Poem by Riley Justine
"

In short: I love him

"
Somehow, with such a wild heart
He manages to be gentle.
He's mastered the perfect balance between chaos and predictability.
Like a sunset, he is never the same,
But every time more impressive.
His pale blue eyes, which pierce others,
Only meet mine with love.
My broken heart only stops bleeding when I'm with him.
So my love, if you ever wonder what you mean to me,
you are my poetry.

If a poet writes about you, you are either a perfect autumn day or similar to a tsunami.

That last line is piercing -- the perfect way to cap off a wonderful poem.

This is equal parts raw and poetic; straightforward, yet pretty enough. You blend both sides well enough to create a surreal effect with this one.

Rambling aside, I deeply enjoyed!

Sounds like an autumn day can turn into a tsunami
when you are with him
Of course you love him to set you on fire
That is called LOVE

Hmmmm...it's beautiful....the ending perfect...
Someone being your poetry... isn't that like.... how breathing is to us... who survive on words...
I am glad I came across this work of yours

Wow...what a beautiful piece!
I love the lines: Like a sunset, he is never the same,
But every time more impressive.

But even more, I love the ending...you are my poetry.
Simply beautiful!
