It Killed the Cat

It Killed the Cat

A Poem by Riley Justine
"

Questions should be questioned

"
Eating at me with ferocity
Slowly corroding my mind
Until the answer I find.
Creating between me and my intellect, animosity.
"You can never ask too many questions!" they say
But the cat, curiosity did slay.
Therefore, it is apparent that it is a monstrosity.

Written very well. Great title. :)

Eating at me with ferocity
Slowly corroding my mind
Until the answer I find.
The beginning is very, very powerful as well as deep. You've done an excellent job! :)

Creating between me and my intellect, animosity.
I loved this line. It conveys so much. Well done! :)

But the cat, curiosity did slay.
Therefore, it is apparent that it is a monstrosity.
The conclusion is great and written brilliantly. You've done a great job with the poem. I love the rhyming scheme and the flow. An amazing poem, on the whole! :)

I love cats, so I may be a bit biased. I also enjoy reading and writing about death and nihilist approaches to it, so I'm definitely biased. You should consider writing more about killing cats, you have a nab for it :D
