If a Poem were to be written

If a Poem were to be written

If a poem were to be written

If a poem were to be written by my fingers this very night,

what purpose would is serve? Humor, inspiration, or sorry as a reflection of one's own life.

If a poem were to be written that could lift your burdens with each verse,

Help me write these verses that would release you from your heavy hearted curse.

If a poem were to be written, a cure for what keeps you up at night,

Rest gentle my little one as my fingers type into the night.

If a poem could be written with the power to heal,

I would gladly type my fingers rare in order for your soul to be still.
