Waffle House

Waffle House

A Poem by Kris Tate

Yellow and black squares
Up high
Sizzle and scrape
In the middle
Flop and tread
Down low

Order
Hashbrowns
Scattered, smothered, peppered capped
Bacon
In like two out like one

Here is your coffee ma’am

Short, crisp, to the point ... kind of a zinger, again I like it.
