Him

Him

A Poem by Kris Tate

I see him walking,
farther mile by mile.

I see him sitting
with his hint of a smile

How to get his love?
How to win his true affections?

I know he likes the feel of
my body, rocking like a toddy

I need to know if he knows me,
the real me
Not some silly confection
of my supposed perfections,
but the me that craves much more
than physical connections.

The crave of a soul not needing perfection,
but happiness and truth.

I wonder...

How do I get him to see a real side of me
