Fear

Fear

A Poem by Kris Tate

Fear rules like Hitler in the night

Total domination is soon in sight

Find the one that leads the way

Try to follow the fleeting fey

Follow the wil'o'wisps mile after mile

To win your own secret trial

Factor in the unearthly fear

That will cause your eyes to tear

Find the ones to save your soul

That you need to reach your goal

Well, the title is certainly fitting. Fear was in every line of this poem. There was a shred of hope in the end. I can't say that I know what that source of fear is, but I suspect that, as it is in most poetry works as a matter of subjective point of view that makes it more meaningful to a more broad range of readers.
