Cheating

Cheating

A Poem by Kris Tate

So screwed again
Don't know when I was last sane

He is in my brain and won't leave
I think of him when I am without

He is the one
The one who makes me smile

Perma-Grin is what I have
The calls are Heaven

Why oh why did he have to come too late
Too late to take me by the hand
By the heart

I am sworn to another
But what to do now my sanity is gone

How terrible, how sad. I don't know what to say about this poem, except that it breaks my heart.

The title helped me out a little. I really, really like this. I actually read it twice. I love the part where you say "Perma-grin is what I have" keep it up.
