Rain falls drops of joy
Splattering the ground Splashing on the cracked sidewalks Painting pictures of life and Drawing out the earth Smells like home Like belonging Acceptance The thunder is moving Powerful The closer it sounds, The more intense energy pulses through the heart Swallowing every flash of lightning and clap of noise Gulping for air Drowning in joy Bleeding with rain © 2011 toujoursAuthor's Note
