Rain

Rain

A Poem by toujours

Rain falls drops of joy
Splattering the ground
Splashing on the cracked sidewalks
Painting pictures of life and
Drawing out the earth
Smells like home
Like belonging
Acceptance
The thunder is moving
Powerful
The closer it sounds,
The more intense energy pulses through the heart
Swallowing every flash of lightning and clap of noise
Gulping for air
Drowning in joy
Bleeding with rain

Well done. Powerful words, good flow of images and ideas...good words and whatnot. I like it.
