With you in my bed

With you in my bed

A Poem by The poetic child

I wake up with you next to me,
and i brush one of the curls out of your eyes.
tracing the lines of your jaw as i burn the already engraved image of your face into my mind
waiting for you to wake up so i can stare into your eyes, the ones that see through my painful disguise
and all i want to do is whisper three words to you
words that can mean everything if said only when meant but nothing when said all the time.
i love you is all i wanna say because i know i mean it
but i leave you sleeping so you can get your rest to be able to chase me around later
soon i get up softly out of the bed leaving only my scent and the indent of where i once layed
my feet padding on the floor you chased me through
my fingers tracing the walls you pushed me up against when we made sweet love
my eyes seeing us run around me as if i was there just watching
only to hear a noise
gasping i turn to only be enveloped into a crumpled shirt
i love you is all you say
and in my mind all i can think
is how its so early your brain can barley function
yet the words you said mean everything
so i look at you with your hair sticking out everywhere and your minimal rumpled clothes and wrap my hands around ur neck as i kiss you softly leaving the lingering words of i love you in your ear as i run off starting a chase in the escapades of our love
