His Sad Secret

His Sad Secret

A Poem by The poetic child
"

All I have to say is thank you for telling me about your past and letting me write this I hope u like it

"

His sleeves were always long

his life like a sad song

everything that could went wrong

his daddy

the man who was supposed to show him right from wrong

show him the way give him a good day

beat him

no matter how much he begged

he still got bruises

cause daddy could not control himself when he drank

he thought they meant love

but his arms were purple and blue

he didn't know what to do

he tried his hardest in school

he didn't need daddy mad at him

again

he cant concentrate

he hurts to much

a blistering pain filling his body

so he brings home failing grades

not ready to put up with his fathers drunken haze

he comes home

he fears for his life

as he sees the empty beer bottles

and he fears for his life

his daddy stagers out

and the boy hears him shout

your the one who killed my wife

u ruined my life

you cant do anything right

the little boy cryed

at the words his father shouted to his shattered heart

his father kicked him

he punched him

he grabbed him

he threw him against the wall

crack

few more ribs broken

he punched his face

snap

went his nose

he could no longer see thru his blackened eyes

even tho they still managed to cry

he kicked his starved tummy

the boy coughed up blood

the dad screamed

not on the rug

he punched him one last time

and the boy saw his mom

she guided him to heaven to live with her

its over

its finally done

this is a war the fathers won
