Bar Tender - Poem #89

Bar Tender - Poem #89

A Poem by toritto

‘She had Susan Hayward’s hair
no longer in Vogue
tight jeans and spike heeled boots
the sculptor’s deft touch to hip and breast.

While reaching high for a glass
a tattoo above her waist
the rest hidden under a sweater
“What’s your pleasure handsome?”

The old man smiled;
to lift your sweater; to uncover your tattoo
to trace it with lips and fingertips across your skin
to release you from your jeans.

To turn you around and see you naked
to touch you, hips and breast
We are after all the years, still men.

The old man sighed;
Then a wry smile
“Dewar’s neat Darlin'”

.
