Thank You for Saving Me From Life

Thank You for Saving Me From Life

A Poem by Tori Adams

I flee.

Running.

I look back.

I see you.

You're running.

I fall.

My leg hurts.

I broke it.

I limp.

Slowly.

I look back.

I can't see you.

Where are you?

I'm scared.

Trembling.

Cold.

I feel your hands.

Choking.

Around my throat.

You choke me.

I scream.

Silence.

I grab the air.

Panic.

I cry silently.

I try to scream.

Nothing.

I fall.

Darkness.

Then light.

What's happening?

I'm terrified.

Confused.

I walk forward.

Into the light.

I walk.

Gone.

Clean.

The world is clean.

Clouds and blue.

I walk on clouds in the blue.

I have wings.

Fly.

Faster.

Happy.

I'm happy.

And safe.

I'm safe.

Thank you.

Everything is great.

Thank you.
