Reality Escapes Me

Reality Escapes Me

A Poem by Tori Adams

This is just a poem,

and I am just a girl,

dreaming of tomorrow,

in her imaginary world.

Don't bother much with me,

most don't know I exist,

I can't accept reality,

I am oblivious.

My stare is rather blank,

a cold look upon my face.

I can wash it off by night,

And leave my sacred place.

Please do not disturb me,

I do not wish to leave,

If only I could stay forever,

That is where I want to be.

No matter how hard I may try,

The world drifts away,

I pray most every night,

That it wasn't my last day,

In my imaginary world.

This is good :) high recognization-value (or whatever it's called in English.) I especially like the third stanza.
