I Don't Care

I Don't Care

A Poem by Tori Adams

I Don't Care

I walk through the hallways alone,

You watch me but you don't care.

I hear your friends talking about me,

You know but you don't care.

I fall and drop my belongings,

You don't help me because you don't care.

Later that night as I sit alone,

holding a knife to my wrist,

I whisper,

"If only someone had cared."

And while the blood drips from my skin,

and falls upon the floor,

You sit at home on the phone,

talking about me and you don't care.

Its frustrating thinking that no one cares. Even more frustrating is the fact that there are very few people who really do care about others. Well written though.
