Ashen

Ashen

A Poem by topsyturvy

Sitting atop a dark moonlit sky
The trees and birds begin to cry.
A boy singing a noteless tune
Stares blankly into a ravenous crow.
The defeaning sound of silene
Reaches the ears of a drunken deaf.
He pitches a cry of pity for the boy he never knew.
Let go, let it go.
Dead silence even more so than before
The drunken deaf man..
Cries no more.

Contrast and contrary images punctuate this poem. A nice concept to convey a subjective thought process. Remarkable!
