Dreadful Awakening

This isn't really the "real" thing I had in mind as I was composing this one... But.. What the heck right?

You are the exact opposite of my epitome of an angel.

You sweep me off my feet,

Yet.. You're not there to catch me when I fall.

You utter the sweetest words.

The catchiest lines.

Yet...

You take them back and leave me.

Nothing left to do but hurl...

 

I thought I was meant to be your girl.

 

You paved your way into my heart

Then leave me high and dry.

You've resurrected the villain in me.

The one I've been hiding for so long.

 

Carving your way into my memory

Making me go insane.

Wanting to be with you

Wanting your company.

 

The darkened angel of my dreams

That once lit the darkness in me.

Sends me forth into oblivion

In a world where we can never be.
