Inner DemiseA Poem by topsyturvy
You don’t know the magnitude of the pain you’re putting me through. You don’t know the pain of saying the words I love you. How it burns my inner core just looking at you. Can you feel its intensity as it pours off me blazing right through to you? I shudder to think of what you’re capable of. But then maybe I shouldn’t. Seeing as it should be, when thinking/looking at you makes me despise myself for what you put me through. I’ve seen enough of you that im betting my life you’re wicked. Truly a devil in disguise, with me, none the wiser. As you snake up to me and watch me slumber. You slowly poison me with death defying remarks As you make your way into the city marks. You slither your way right into my life Sneaking up to me and making me your wife. How could you do that when you of all people know I’d give up everything not to let it show The things you’ve m ade me become and what I know I had your back far too many times but not anymore I’d die to feel you in my arms again, and I’ll be at fault For I can never trust someone with your scathing assault. © 2009 topsyturvyReviews
