Torn

Torn

A Poem by topsyturvy

Stuck in this world full of lies..

I succumb to the fire burning within.

Wiping that glee from your prejudiced ways

I scorch the gleam from your eyes.

And smother your face....

with that insolent smirk of his face

And hands irking me with lust full of hate.

Yet...

I love thee.

How have I fallen this low?

That I take it in silence?

Blow after blow.

How have I fallen this low?

Save me.

From myself...

Save me.

For I love thee.

I love thee.

I...

Hate thee.

Seems like this situation should be
resolved real fast. Troouble is brewing
in this family. Somebody should get out,
now !
People who harbor this much animosity
frequently make their next stop at
City Morgue. Not kidding !

Well written. The writer is a class act.
