For You

I look back to where we were

Smiling alone in an empty chair

My futile escape to what could have been

Sitting alone just reminiscing

The love I have for you never waning.

 

Time and time again

Feelings for you have still remained

The unholy smack of a hand so true

Was the time I felt such strong pain for you

I endured in silence waiting for you

To come rescue me with your light

Yet you failed me

How can one be so naive

One such as myself

This shan't go on much longer

A faint beginning...

Deep in this soul of swirling towers of doubt

My heart still heeds for you

The fierce passion dealt are blows askew.

Can't think past these astrocious ways

Of how to deal with your inconspicuous ways

This love that burns with intense yearning

This heart burns for you, all barriers gone

This heart's ablaze for you

Straining to cast out that fateful night

You left me bleeding with this heart of plight.

Feeling heeding reaching out

For you my love, there is no doubt.

Yet still my mind screams one thing

This shan't go on much longer.

Will not cannot, though with each passing time

My heart breaks.

 

I sit alone in my chair

Reminiscing on what could have been,

Of how we were.

A blackened room full of doubt..

A moment in time where we could have gone out.

Time and time again...

Though still one thing remain.

Twas a distant past never to happen again.
