comforting sadness

i wrote this for my bestfriend liza as soon as i heard that her mom passed away... i love you woman, do tc always.. mwah

hush lil girl, don't start to cry.

you are not alone, you'll be able to get by.

come now lil girl, come and take my hand.

together we'll be able to stand our own ground.

 

crying is not fit for such a lovely face

turn your frown upside down, for this is just a phase.

hold on to me, cling to me, i'll be by your side.

don't worry lil girl, i'll take you for a ride.

under my wing, you and i we'll fly.

up, up and away, together so high.

 

i'll take you to a journey where it's just us two

i'll fight the good fight, just for you.

 

so again take my hand, i'll take you to that place.

a place that's so special where all your dreams do come true.

a place so special, just for you.

 

close your eyes lil one, don't worry i'm here.

forever and ever, i'll always be near.

take a hold of my hand as we near your four-poster

dream sweet lil girl, i'll watch over you while you take your sweet slumber.

Again great writing comes from releasing great pains in one's tormented soul!
Very sad but such a great poem! I loved this poem!
This is such a beautiful poem it reminds me of my very sad childhood!
I cried so much as a child that I just can't cry anymore!
Yet, greatness comes when you as a person and a writer can turn all your hurts, pain and issues around and use it for the good of all humanity!
When you have done this (like you have) you are then truly fulfilling your destiny becoming the great writer you are!
