A Poem by topsyturvy

Wrapped in the cocoon of your embrace
All the pain and worries are naught.
Your arms tighten around the vortex of their hearts
Whilst she suffers in endless torment,
You've neglected her.

The defeaning silence of your neglect
Shatters the world as we know it.
Regret brightens the tiniest spark
Of false hope.

Betrayed by the promise of endless nights,
Your lies shatter the realm of dreams.
A mask is all she wears
As she travels the world aloof, detached.

Suppressed, everything suppressed.

breaks the heart that a dream can lead to this, that a dream, can be turned on its head. Sad and tragic, but at the same time, evocative. I took, and learned from this.

a moving, write.

This is heartbreaking, Ate, knowing the piece must have been inspired by a painful experience. I can relate to this, having felt the same way years ago. You actually resurrected those past monsters but it's a proof that you did a really good job on this one.

You have the gift for words, Ate, and I admire you more than you'll ever know. Smile!
