Girl Meets Boy

Girl Meets Boy

A Poem by topsyturvy

I met a girl walking on the streets of el dorado.
Walked up to her and said
Hey baby how you doin
My name's Marco
I'm from Colorado.

She looked so fine, divine
Cherry lips like fine wine
She kissed me, everything dropped
That girls a lady
If I didn't know any better
I never woulda met her
On the streets of el dorado.

I met a boy while lurking
The streets of el dorado.
His eyes were chocolate brown
Walked the streets with a swagger.
Said he was from Colorado.

Thought him for a hoodlum
But came up to me and said
Hey baby let's go to my hotel room.

Everything dropped
Champagnes clicked and clacked
This boys a man
If I didn't go prowling that night
Never would have met him,
Would have never even bothered.

He asked for it,
I gave it up
A click and a bang is what you get
When you walk the streets of el dorado.

Left him hanging cheap beers and all that
Got his money, a good time and a slap on the back
Let the popos check what I have in my sack.
