My Sparkly Princess Day

Everything's pretty and pink,
nobody stops to think,
we just go along and play,
on my sparkly princess day

I wear my crown,
banish all frowns.
There's a rainbow in the sky,
so I get on my unicorn and fly.

The sun is so very bright,
I just wanna dance in the light.
My shoes shine and glitter in the sun,
makes me want to have lots of fun.

I ride on purple elephants to school,
everyone oohs and ahs, thinking I'm cool.
I'm beautiful, pretty, oh-so perfect,
I don't have a past of sorrow, or neglect.

My mommy loves me,
that I can see.
My daddy, I'm the apple in his eye.
I don't even have to try.

Playing with my toys,
getting all the boys.
I love my life,
I'll be the perfect wife.

I sleep on a cloud,
I am so proud.
I have many friends,
who entertain me to no end.

I feel loved and warm,
there are no storms.
This is my sparkly princess day.






        I should really lay off the heroine and anti-depressants.

The hint is hidden well, and if you didn't mention, i wouldn't have understood the last line. Not bad though.

I laughed, until I read your author's note. I re-read and and see where you are coming from. Is everything she was experiencing a lie? Does her Mother hate her? Her Father despise her? This was a really interesting poem. I loved it!
