Time Won't Let Me Go

Time Won't Let Me Go

A Poem by TopHatGirl

The ticking drives me insane,
to the point where it causes me pain.
Can't escape this devious trap,
because there is no map.

Going slower, making me stop,
keeping me from reaching the top.
Faster now, speeding by,
maybe so hard, I can't fly.

To be free from this madness,
might save me from sadness.
There is never enough time,
I am trapped here, a mime,
   to the tragedy.

Time won't let me go,
never lets me show,
how I can shine,
without the time.

Oh, time, my friend.
This is not the end.

Author's Note

TopHatGirl
*eye roll* So, in English, my teacher said that if your used to writing free-verse poems, try rhyming. I hate rhyme poems. But, good little girl must obey. So, my crappy rhyming poem. Enjoy, and review. Also, the title is stolen from a song by the bravery.
