Another DrinkA Story by TopHatGirl
I punched the wall. Your an idiot. Yeah, I know. Not because I just punched a wall, but because I fell for it. I collapsed on my bed, and shut my eyes.
XxXxXxXxXxX My friends found me two days later, in a pile of cigarette boxes and empty bottles of vodka. "S**t, Cassie. You look like hell." Jessica observed. Heather sighed deeply. "Lemme guess, you found out?" she asked. I sat straight up. "You knew?" I asked. Jessica sighed as well. "Yeah, pretty much everyone knew." she said, and I threw a shoe at the wall. "That b*****d." I mumbled. Heather pulled me up on my feet. "Come on, we're going out. Get some clothes on, straighten your hair. And for God's sake, take a shower, you smell worse than my grandmother when she's drunk." I laughed halfheartedly. When I cleaned myself up, I walked into my living room to find it was clean. Jessica had a trash bag in her hand, Heather with a broom, sweeping the broken pieces of glass up. "Wow. You guys didn't have to clean this pigsty up, I would've gotten around to it." I said, feeling bad. Jessica laughed. "No, Cassie, you wouldn't have." she said, and I know she's right. "Don't sweat it. You would do the same thing for us." Heather said, and I think about it. Would I? "Yeah." I said. "I think I would." "Are you ready?" Jessica asked, I nodded. And we were off. XxXxXxXxXxXxXx I gulped another shot. "Jeez, Cass, take it easy on those." Heather warned. "Who are you? The drunnkenssfp policew?" I slurred. Jessica emerged from the back room. "Wow that pot was wicked!" she laughed maniacally. Heather giggled with her, and ordered another martini. And she lectured me about alcohol. I started chuckling, and forgot all about him. Until I noticed him walking through the door. "That b*****d." I murmured. Heather and Jessica turned to see who I was talking about. "How dare he come when he knows you always come here on Friday nights?" Jessica asked. Heather lightly patted my shoulder. "Just ignore him, Cass." Heather said, and I tried to. I ordered another drink while Heather went to the bathroom, and Jessica was asked to dance. But then he walked up, sat in the stool next to me, and ordered a drink. "Hello, Cassie." he said. "Hello, Erik." I said back, seeming as bitter as possible. "Look, Cass, I want to talk to you about what happened." he said, and I stop him. "Just shut up Erik. You. Cheated. On. Me. You can't fix that willy-nilly, it takes time. A long time. We can't even 'stay friends' because we weren't friends in the first place." "But, babe. I really do love you." He said, and I laughed. "It's too late for lies now." I said. "Please? I'm begging you. Just one more kiss..." he wrapped his arm around my waist. I pushed him off, then punched him. He stumbled back, holding his nose. "You b***h..." he mumbled, and a man with a security outfit approached us. "Is this man a problem?" he asked. I nodded. "Yes." I said. He turned to Erik. "Excuse me, sir, I am going to have to ask you to leave." the security guy said. "Don't you...talk to mewike fat." Erik slurred, and punched the security guy. That punch sent a ripple. That ripple created a bar brawl. Men jumped in, kicking and punching. I even saw a couple of girls get in on the action. Heather came up from behind me. "What did you do?" she asked. I shook my head. Jessica came back from dancing. "Come on. Let's go." she said. I nodded. "Yeah, we don't need men." I said, looking at the fight scene before me. "What bums." Heather added. We put our arms around each-other, and left. © 2010 TopHatGirlAuthor's Note
