Message In A Bottle

Message In A Bottle

A Poem by Olivia H.
"

Wrote this a while back.

"
Her identity
burned in the sand,
scorched by the sun-drenched rocks
and washed away in the sea.
I found it in a dull green bottle,
softened by years of violent waves
and sharp scratching shells.
I wonder
If we will ever find the girl;
The conch inside her shell
Who decides to hide herself
In an illusion of home.
Sooner or later,
We'll all need to find the surface
For air.

My friend roarke said it better than I could, but I'll just add that most anyone craves freedom and independence, especially when they've never had it..

VERY nice. Good handling of archetypes and inner/outer perceptions. Super imagery in a complete simple form.

Well written, good stuff.
