Prologue

Prologue

A Poem by Jodie

we need a round-edged end,
your peach-pit heart has endured so much.
you sat there and we drank water
but our hearts were drunk on wine.

it will be a shame if your epilogue is as rough-hewed as our story.
it's a pity there will be no soft, shared ending.
