My soul, once reclaimed from tragedy, has been
marked. I am but a spiritual zebra.
Am I black with white stripes? Do glimpses of
purity show through at times? Does basic morality shine through? Am I, at
times, giving the great theatrical performance? Is agenda hidden in the petals
of a white rose?
-OR-
Am I white with black stripes? Do I allow my
light to be eclipsed? Is good intention overshadowed by deed? Is the temptation
of staring into the blackness too great? Do I want to turn away?
It's a question I must ask myself. It's a
question I have no desire to answer. I shall remain undefined.... I shall
remain a spiritual zebra.
I love the idea of this poem... the two different sides to your spirituality, very interesting. We all have to ask ourselves these probing questions to really know who we are and who we want to strive to be. Really enjoyed this.
Poignant...what are we if not a balance of the above...loved this, pleased to meet you Tony x
